Procrastinate Like A MoFo

My tiny little Bloggerites,

How are thee?

I am writing this post in either a plea to write more blog posts or to fight writing my essay, I haven't decided yet.

Today is the biggest day of your entire life because, today, my 'The Shining Done In 60 Seconds' for 'Empire Jameson's Done In 60 Seconds' competition goes into production. Not only do I get to re-record my own version of my favourite film, I get to be one of my favourite characters of all time...

"Wendy, I'm home"

So that's very exciting, will post links in due course.

I am also planning a European Tour soon, with a fellow Blog Writer: Mr James Riley. Mr Riley is a wonderfully creative person, who is one of the only people of my age, that I know, that genuinely wants to take up a professional career in Poetry. Follow his blog at Elope From Harm for some Poem-Wizardry.

So a tour into 30 countries around Europe is going to be delightful, I really hope we do it. I go to France every year, which I still love, and I have visited Ireland, Belgium and Spain, but there are many, many other places I'd love to see, especially before I have to delve into the real Big Person's world of tax, insurance, mortgages and family.

And I write this post as I am re-watching the great film 'Cast Away' with Tom Hanks. It's great, and I love it, but it really escalates my biggest fear, which is the Sea.

I HATE THE SEA.

And that, kiddies, is called Thalassophobia. (I am self-diagnosed). It is irrational and persistent and I hate it (the phobia and the sea).

And so, my rant ends for today.

Goodnight my lovely readers,

Don't forget to comment and share, and follow my Podcast above.

It's true, i've been doing this to Procrastinate Like A MoFo.

Probably The Best Idea I've Ever Had

I apologise greatly for my absence.

If you want to come and give me a slap on the wrist that's fine. I should have kept you updated, my children.

To be honest my life has NOT been that exciting. I will, however, bring up something that has been bugging me for a few weeks:

New Years.

I hate New Years.

I hate celebrating it.

I hate thinking about it.

I hate being reminded about it.

I hate being outcasted because I hate it.

Please, PLEASE tell me what is so fantastic about thinking about the year that has gone past and how quickly it's gone. We are forced to think about yet another year that will go too quickly and how being 20 for a year doesn't feel as long as being 16 for a year.

DON'T REMIND ME.

It's sooooo depressing, and I feel as though its forced on me.

Why can't we invent a Calendar that doesn't start in January and finishes in December, we should invent AN EVERLASTING CALENDAR!!!

An everlasting calendar that would contain one 'Null' month that just lasts 31 days and repeats itself, every 12th 'Null Month' we'd celebrate Christmas, and all the other celebrations.

This is probably the best idea I've ever had.

Pulling Out My Eyeballs

So this is the first time I've written a blog via mobile; Blogger updated recently to give easier access. So, I'm pretty chuffed.

Why am I writing this via mobile instead of my regular desktop way? Well I was sat in a foreign room with two options on my hands, shall I write a blog post to entertain my grateful audience? Or shall I pull my eye balls out with fish hooks and boil my head? Yeah, I tried the latter first.

So, Christmas is coming soon and there's many, many things coming up that need documenting!

To begin with I will begin in the most logical place: the beginning.

My friend's girlfriend is playing her very first gig in Bicester tomorrow, an I have to say that I am SO excited! You should check them out on faceyb and twitter:

Dirty Sweet Lies Faceyb

Dirty Sweet Lies Twitter

Being the lead singer of Dirty Sweet Lies, Nicole Bartlett, and just being a generally awesome person, I will be having her guest appear on my next video blog! Awesome times chaps and chapettes.

Again, my photography skills (amateur though they are) will be coming into play at the gig, might have to set somewhere up where you can all view them.

Next, my new film is now online and I am thoroughly chuffed, click here so you can watch it! I hope you enjoy, let me know what you think in the comments box.

There's also a new 'Whiny Little Bitches' out! Catch episode 3 now!

Feeling a little betrayed by people at the moment, at times when I feel like I need a friend or someone to talk to, they just blank it all out as if nothings going on. It may be me, I don't know, but I'm sure you have people you'd like to rely on but they're just too unreliable; you give them so much regard and they just disregard you when you need them. Oh well.

And that's about it for now, if any of you out there want a hand in any upcoming projects just give me a holla on Facebook or twitter (links at the top of page).

I think this may have stopped me Pulling Out My Eyeballs,

The Update of My Life

Hello everyone,

I apologise for my brief disappearance from Blog posting but, have no fear, I return.

In this time many, many things have happened; I have been working out, getting absolutely hammered dressed as Thor and even more geeky.

So, to begin with I went for a workout with my General Manager and my podcasting brother and after 2 and a half hours of intense Running, weight lifting and boxing. It was CRAZY, I ache like hell, but I did get home and say to myself 'I FEEL LIKE A MAN!!'

And then it was the most awesome Staff Christmas Party, in which I drank far too much and arrived as the most handsome Thor!

I have to say, this is definitely the best Christmas Staff Party ever, I really enjoyed this, I think many, many other people did. I am, however, a little worried about the atrocious drunken photos that have yet to surface.

And next I got some new comics and been watching geeky Comic Book Men. I got my hands on Deadpool Marvel Now! #2 and #3 and the new Thunderbolts Marvel Now! #1 ; these were absolutely fantastic and if you have any appreciation for comics then you NEED to pick these up.

The Thunderbolts (well the new iteration anyway) is a team of anti-Heroes; Red Hulk, Electra, Venom, Punisher and Deadpool; it's gonna be a good series. If you're interested in chatting about them, let me know!

I am going to a friend and colleague's house tomorrow to start jamming for this band we're trying to set up, and I'm getting myself a Harmonica tomorrow, hopefully, and will add that to my Musical Portfolio.

Also saw the final cut of my latest film and it looks frigging awesome, if i do say so myself.

And, I also had managed to SPEAK a entire 2,199 word essay; seriously. Used the new dictation interface on the Mac operating system and it worked SO well!

And, I think thats it for my life update, I'll talk about something that isn't just myself next time hopefully!

SONG CHOICE OF THE DAYYYYY!!!

Today's song is going to be in the theme of workouts and so I've chosen a song that I was listening to on the running machines today; 'Flesh and Bone (Jacques Lu Cont Remix)' by The Killers on their new album 'Battleborn'. Press Play here!                                                                        I won't give you a low-down on The Killers because they're fairly famous. But this is a nice remix to work out and hopefully you'll be inspired to get fit after listening to it!
See you soon my friends,

I know you needed The Update of My Life,

Letting Me Tell You About What We Do Here

And i'm back again for another Blog Post; a fair few interesting this to cover.

Firstly, I've been told that my blog posts are getting shorter, people have been getting disgruntled; fear not, I shall be trying to make them longer.

Anyway, I'd like to talk about Religion.

PLEASE don't let this scare you off, I'm not going to be pushing religion on you, just some interesting things I'd like to bestow upon you.

I was talking with a work colleague today (Miss Amy Clark, to be precise) about Religion and I love the fact she was so interested in hearing about it (maybe she's just nodding and smiling to stop me talking, I have that effect on people) because most people these days don't give one flying finger about religion, so it's refreshing.

So the first area of religion that was discussed was the Old Testament and how unbelievable it is.

(I know this refers to the New Testament)

Now I'd like to tell you about my priest, Father Kevin who, unfortunately has cancer (God Bless him), and something he said to me. Once I approached him and said:

"Look, I really can't believe the Old Testament, it's so... unbelievable, I guess. I mean, Moses actually parting the Sea?"

And next, is the most interesting and comforting thing any priest could say;

"None of those things in the Old Testament are true."

Wow, that is the coolest priest ever.

He then went on to say:

"I say that in the sense that Moses probably didn't part the sea, he probably just hopped on a boat and rode across with the Slaves away from the Egyptians. Now, put yourself into the time that the Bible was written; the majority of the population are uneducated, unlearned peasants, who lead very simple lives. Now, how do you convey the mastery, majesty and might of the almighty being 'God' to these simple people?

You can't turn around and say 'Moses rode on a boat over the sea and God helped him through the Holy Spirit' because that'd make no sense to these people. So, as written in the bible, you over exaggerate to be able to convey his power

'Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemenfollowed them into the sea. 24 During the last watch of the night the Lord looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion.' Exodus 14:21-23

And then it all made sense!

Well, I hope that wasn't too religious for you.

I'll talk about the Rapture in the next post.

Next two exciting pieces of news. First: I'M KIND OF IN A SEMI-CREATED BAND MAYBE THAT MIGHT START UP SOON!!!! Its a half-dream come true.

That's correct True Believers, it was discussed today between myself and another friend at the start up of a White Stripes/Jack White/Queens of the Stone Age/Foo Fighters-type band, 3 piece probably! More news to come.

Second; I might do Open-Mic Nights again! Now thats probably actually bad news because you'll have to hear my bad singing, and I apologise in advance. But, I could do with as much support as possible, so if you guys could drop me a Tweet or comment or something with some wise words of wisdom and support, that'd be awesomesauce.

Next, I have a video I was asked to create for Cineworld Cinemas LTD earlier this year and have only got around to uploading it now. I hope you enjoy it, I cut the video and the audio of everything together, including the trailers, and then I filmed, lit and edited all of the other footage, creating masks for all the trailers too. I hope you like!

And now a BEARD BABY UPDATE!

This is day number 24 and I'm in my onesie:

And finally SONG OF THE DAYYYYYY!!

The wonderful, most righteous and uplifting bands of my Secondary School and current life, probably part of my Life Soundtrack, is The Rocket Summer.

A one-piece band by the brilliant Bryce Avarwho is based in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Avary is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and producer. He writes and produces every song on his records, and plays every instrument on them. He is incredible and the song I would like you to listen to is 'Brat Pack'. Listen here: Brat Pack. And don't get too attracted to him, HE'S MINE, OKAY?! I mean, what...
And so I bid you adieu and thank you for Letting Me Tell You About What We Do Here.

Hating On The World

A beer, The US Office and Nachos at 1am are definitely the best way to start writing a Blog Past.

Bad Day, Hating on the World and Reminiscing are not the nest way to start writing a Blog Post.

So this should be interesting.

To begin the downward spiral that was my day was I found that my Facebook account was hacked into. Nothing too bad was posted except a video entitled 'Boobies and Kittens' and I was informed it contained a images of Boobies and Kittens to 'Cheer You Up'.

What kind of hacker spends the time and effort working their way into someone's Facebook account and, instead of posting something that hacked into other people's accounts, the posted THAT thing.

Although, this is funny.

The next were the customers at work. As I like to say 'This job would be great, if it wasn't for the customers' (Dante, 1994).

Why people enter a 'Cinematic Viewing Establishment', spend plenty of money on tickets and food for them to throw a fuss because they want 'Pepsi' but all we have is 'Coca-Cola'.

What has happened to the Human Race.

Some other stuff happened that annoyed me but it picked up when I was reminded of the first meeting of a great work friend; We were stood at the counter when a woman came up to order food. Whilst she was ordering, her young daughter was banging on a glass cabinet; suddenly the mother turns around and shouts:
"EH! YOU! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?!"
The daughter stops, turns, and stares with big upset eyes at her mother. The mother asks:
"What would Jesus do?"
After a short though the daughter replies with:
"He say be good?"
"That's right he say be good, so if you no listen to me then at least you listen to Jesus!"
She turns back to us, pays for her goods and leaves.

Best first friendship meeting EVER.

Ohhhh BEARD UPDATE!!!!

It is now 22 days down the beardy path, I hope you like my sexy facial hair;

Oh dear, the beard is taking over!

And so we near the end of this post, we wrap it up with SONG OF THE DAYYYY

My choice for today would have to be a recent release from THE BEST MUSICIAN IN THE WORLD.

Of course, I am talking about Jack White.

Jack White released Blunderbuss, his first solo album, on April 24th 2012. Firstly, it's incredible. Secondly, he has just released the video for his latest album (also on the album) called 'I'm Shakin'' and I have literally just watched the video and it's awesome!

I saw Jack White earlier this year and, without sounding like a stupid super fan (which I am) it blew my mind; he's brilliant! Best gig ever! Anyway click below to watch the video and listen to the song! And then look at the great poster to go with it.

And so I bid you adieu for this evening,

And I'm not so much Hating On The World,

Childish Adult Syndrome

Good Moro kind sirs and madams,

I have a few exciting things to go over.

Firstly, children.
Also known as Siblings, Brothers, Sisters, Cousins, Nephews and Nieces, you know what I'm talking about. I do really, really love them, I mean not 'I love Children', that does sounds a little weird; I love my cousins and my brother and I love looking after kids because, for whatever reason, I get on really well with them.

I think it boils down to the fact I am a massive kid still.

I love cartoons, playing with LEGO, and wishing I was Link from The Legend of Zelda. And that is frowned upon why? Urgh, well to my future wife; "I will not be growing up." I can be serious when I need to be, but my kids are gonna have a FUN DAD.

Wow, that escalated quickly.

Anyway, back to children.

After talking to a friend this evening my heart strings have panged and I now cannot stop thinking about the two in particular. Firstly my Cousin Samuel, he's a lot of fun and he's very, VERY energetic, but I love him and although he is hard to bear sometimes, it makes me love him more all the same.

And secondly it is my other cousin, the youngest and only girl in the family; Niamh (pronounced NEEEV). She has Down Syndrome and, after a huge family trauma, Niamh was brought into the world and she was a beautiful girt. You can see a trailer for a documentary I made on, here:

I am also facing a dilemma in my life. A huge Job Opportunity has arisen and i've found out that a certain 'Cinematic Viewing Establishment' has denied all Student Leave (Although i've been there more than a year and not taken any leave) so it looks like I'm going to have to quit but I really don't want to because I love my job so much. Urgh I hate decisions. Thats not for a few months though.

So, anyway, day 19 of my Beard Baby:

Its like a dark and brooding shadow covering my face.

Anyway, a song choice tomorrow methinks, sleep well,

I think i'm suffering from Childish Adult Syndrome,
